Depart from Bangalore at 7:30 PM from the listed pickup points along the Bengaluru–Hassan highway. Stop for a self-sponsored dinner en route, then continue the overnight journey towards the Kalasa homestay base.
Reach the homestay / nature stay base by 6:00 AM. Freshen up, get ready, and enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day's trek.
Take a jeep ride from the homestay to the trek starting point on the Kalasa ridge.
(Morning) Trek through Shola forests, gushing streams, and open grasslands covering three mountain peaks on the Kalasa ridge. Enjoy sweeping views of the Kalasa region and the Badra river below. Have a packed lunch during the trek and return to the homestay by evening.
Freshen up at the stay and unwind with an evening campfire and chit-chat with fellow travellers (if weather permits). Enjoy hi-tea / evening snacks, followed by dinner. Retire early for the next day's sightseeing.
Wake up early, freshen up, have breakfast, and check out from the stay by 8:00 AM.
Visit the scenic Samse Tea Estate and walk across the famous Kalasa Hanging Bridge — two of Chikmagalur's most photogenic landmarks.
Lunch is self-sponsored en route. Visit the historic Belur Chennakeshava Temple, then start the return journey to Bangalore. Arrive in Bangalore by approximately 9:30 PM.
