Locally known as Dumchi Gudda, this trek is a well-kept secret offering some of the most dramatic ridge walks in the Western Ghats.At Beyond the Limits, we take you through coffee plantations and emerald-green grasslands to a summit at 4,400 ft that feels like the edge of the world. After conquering the peaks on Day 1, we switch gears on Day 2 to explore the soul of Coorg—from the spiritual heights of the Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) to the thundering Abbey Falls. It’s more than a trek; it’s a complete Coorg experience curated for those who seek to push their boundaries.

Day 1•

Trek to Thavoor Hills

The Ridge Walk & The Misty Summit () Arrive at our cozy Coorgi homestay; freshen up and enjoy a traditional breakfast.Start the 10km trek. The trail begins through aromatic coffee estates before entering dense Shola forests.Experience the thrill of walking along the narrow ridges with deep valleys on both sides and clouds at your feet.Reach Thavoor Peak (4,400 ft). Savor a packed lunch with panoramic views of the Kopatty Range.Head back to the base, spotting exotic birds and hidden streams along the way.Return to the homestay for hot tea, snacks, and a much-needed rest.Relax around the campfire, enjoy a Kodava-style dinner, and share stories under the stars.

The Spiritual & Scenic Finale

Sightseeing and Return () Journey to the breathtaking heights of Brahmagiri Hills to visit Talakaveri, the holy birthplace of the River Kaveri. Located at 1,276 meters, you can climb the stairs to the Brahmagiri Peak viewpoint for a stunning 360-degree aerial view of the mist-covered Coorg valley—a perfect final mountain vista for your trip.11Feel the mist on your face at the thundering Abbey Falls, nestled within lush private spice and coffee plantations.
